Priorities: Virginia Governor Signs 5 Anti-Gun Bills into Law

by Chris Eger
Guns.com

“Virginia Governor Ralph Northam on Friday signed the vanguard of a phalanx of gun control legislation into law, to the cheers of anti-gun advocates.  Northam, a Democrat who ran for office with the endorsement and support of gun control groups backed by billionaire former New York Michael Bloomberg, took advantage of a narrowly shifted blue polarity in the state legislature to get the package of bills to his desk. The measures include a so-called ‘red flag’ gun seizure law, expanded background checks on all gun sales, a law penalizing gun owners who had their firearms stolen, and rationing handgun sales to one per month,” according to Guns.com.

The Latest Victim of COVID-19 Is the Second Amendment

by Bob Barr
TownHall.com

“The latest victim of the COVID-19 pandemic is not a health care worker, a first responder, or a cruise line traveler.  The purveyor is not an invisible microbe.  The perpetrators of the latest assault on men and women in cities and states across the country are left-wing governors and mayors who have decided the pandemic provides a convenient excuse to deny law abiding citizens the freedom to exercise their Second Amendment rights,” according to Bob Barr on TownHall.com.

The Rifle on the Wall

by Tom Randall

CHICAGO—The Remington Model 550 hangs, innocently enough, on my office wall above my Dad’s old desk.  It would be vilified by today’s liberals. It’s chambered for quite common but very high velocity ammunition.  The magazine holds fifteen rounds of the stuff.  The flawless action is semi-automatic.  Most damning, if the liberals could comprehend their own false phobias, is that it is styled after the most famous military arm of its day, perhaps of all time, the M1 Garand rifle, the most ubiquitous weapon of WWII. I bought it with saved-up lawn-mowing money when I was 13years old.  Rather than a device to be feared, it was a young boy’s pride and joy. Many mornings I would load it while sitting …

Now, seven of the eight gun control bills that brought protesters to the Capitol by the thousands are now awaiting Northam’s signature,” according to the Virginian Pilot.

Gun control activist David Hogg targets semi-automatic rifles

by John Eidson
American Thinker

“A survivor of the 2018 Valentine’s Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and now enrolled at Harvard, student gun control activist David Hogg has become a sought-after speaker at colleges and universities, and the odds are off the chart that he’ll be given a primetime slot at the Democratic National Convention in August.  While I fully support his right to protest things he thinks are wrong, I respectfully disagree with his belief that school carnage will end if semi-automatic rifles are banned,” says John Eidson of American Thinker
